This 7-piece kit includes 2 spindle assemblies, 2 mower blades, 1 deck drive belt and 2 flat idler pulleys. It is designed around the 618/918-04456 / 04461 spindle family, 742/942-0616 blade family, 754/954-04060 deck belt and 756/956-04129 idler family.

Important: Similar 42" Decks May Use Different Parts

A 42" cutting width does not guarantee compatibility. MTD-built tractors were produced with multiple spindle, blade and belt combinations.

For example, some Cub Cadet LT1042 configurations use a 754/954-04045 deck belt rather than the 754/954-04060 belt supplied with this kit.
