Complete 48" deck rebuild kit for select John Deere L120 and L130 lawn tractors, Sabre 1948HV / 2148HV and Scotts L2048 / L2548 models equipped with the compatible 48" three-blade mower deck.
This 10-piece deck rebuild kit includes 3 spindle assemblies, 3 mower blades, 1 deck drive belt, 2 small idler pulleys and 1 large idler pulley. It is built around the John Deere GY20996 deck rebuild configuration using the GY20050 / GY20785 spindle, GX20250 / GY20568 blade and GX20305 / GY20571 belt families.
Important L120 / L130 Fitment Notice: John Deere used more than one 48" deck configuration on L120 and L130 tractors. The GY20996 application is documented for L120 and L130 models with the exception of certain 2005 deck configurations. Do not order by model name or deck size alone. Compare your original spindle, blade and belt numbers with the OEM references below.

Component Specifications
Mower Blades
Approx. 17" long × 2-1/2" wide × .150"–.164" thick with approximately 11/16" (.675") center hole. Three blades are required for the compatible 48" deck. Replaces GX20250 / GY20568.
Spindle Assemblies
Replacement spindle assemblies in the GY20050 / GY20785 family with grease fittings. Approximate overall height varies slightly by aftermarket manufacturer; compare mounting pattern and shaft configuration with your original spindle before installation.
Deck Drive Belt
Replaces GX20305 / GY20571. Approximately 139" overall nominal length depending on manufacturer measurement method, approximately 1/2" to 17/32" wide, wrapped aramid-cord replacement construction.
Small Idler Pulleys
Includes 2 small flat idler pulleys replacing GY20067 / GY22172. Approx. 3-5/8" outside diameter × 11/16" ID × 1-3/16" height.
Large Idler Pulley
Includes 1 large idler pulley replacing GY20110 / GY20629 / GY22082. Approx. 5-1/8" to 5-1/4" outside diameter × 11/16" ID × 1-3/4" height.

This kit is designed around the GY20996-era 48" deck component combination: GY20050 / GY20785 spindles, GX20250 / GY20568 blades and GX20305 / GY20571 belt. These component numbers are the best way to distinguish this kit from later John Deere 48" deck configurations.

L120 / L130: Which 48" Deck Kit Do I Need?
John Deere L120 and L130 tractors can be found with different 48" deck component configurations. This kit is the correct choice when your mower uses the GY20050 / GY20785 spindle family, GX20250 / GY20568 blade family and GX20305 / GY20571 deck belt.
If your L120 or L130 instead uses GY20454 / GY20962 / GY21098 spindles, GX21784 / GY20852 7-point-star blades and GX21833 belt, it uses a different 48" deck rebuild configuration.

How to Confirm This Is the Correct Kit
- Confirm your mower has a 48" three-blade deck.
- Compare the spindle with GY20050 / GY20785.
- Compare the blades with GX20250 / GY20568.
- Confirm the deck belt matches GX20305 / GY20571.
- Confirm 2 small idlers matching GY20067 / GY22172.
- Confirm 1 large idler matching GY20110 / GY20629 / GY22082.
- For John Deere L120 and L130, pay particular attention to the original deck component numbers because different configurations were used during production.
Do not confuse this kit with the later 7-point-star John Deere 48" deck configuration. The two kits share some idler pulley families, but the spindle, blade and belt systems are different. Matching only the mower model or deck size is not enough to confirm fitment.
